Spectrum Magazine website reports the following in part:
Chris Mindanao, a recent graduate from the Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University. In particular, Mindanao questioned the long-held Adventist belief, rooted in the writings of the church co-founder Ellen G. White, that Sabbath-keeping is integral to the “seal of God” and that Sunday worship will be a marker of allegiance to the “beast” in the end times. He instead argued that the seal of God, as described in the New Testament, is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and that there is no biblical basis for linking Sunday worship with the mark of the beast.
Frankly, that is very troubling since the seal of God is clearly presented in the Bible when Paul wrote:
Ephesians 1:13
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, (NIV)
2 Corinthians 1:22
set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. (NIV)
But if you look at what another podcaster has to say we see that the problem is not the Holy Spirit is the seal of God, but that Pastor Chris was influenced by the Love Reality and Love Reality tour people and its focus on the gospel. Apparently, the gospel is not part of the Present Truth that Adventism is to spread, so to Bro Lawrence if you find anyone else not preaching the Present Truth, whatever that is turn them into the conference authorities, and Bro Lawrence will help you. He like Elder Wilson has no ability to define the problem with what Love Reality says it is now just something that we should all condemn we know not why. When the Gospel message is the problem the Adventist church has a big problem!
