That such organizations as NAMLA do exist and may have the same agenda may be subject to speculation. You may disagree with them but what they are saying is not hate speech. If it is then the Adventist church is a hate group because of their statements against the Roman Catholic church when Ellen White says that the pope is the anti-christ.(1888 edition of the Great Controversy) And the democrat party is a hate organization when they claim that Republicans what to throw Grandma off the cliff or Republicans want to kill people with dirty air and water. Hate speech and hate organizations are not hyperbole and political propaganda. Because someone disagrees with someones pet belief does not make it a hate organization and that is why these attacks on religious groups that actually follow their biblical beliefs about homosexuality is not a hate group. They are not the same as an intolerant hate group (Nazi, skinheads, Black Panthers etc). those who don't understand this place their prejudices above objectivity.Ron Corsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02160607058464028162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10270506.post-47639353913951343932012-10-02T22:26:23.337-07:002012-10-02T22:26:23.337-07:00Look I just found your blog and I thought you woul...Look I just found your blog and I thought you would be an open and conversational person, considering you call yourself a progressive. There are some interesting things on your site, and you make some good points. But I am concerned about your attitude towards those with contrasting opinions and those you attack. For example, you call Shawn Boonstra a liar and then go to lengths to defend you're right. Even among us liberals, there was dissent regarding the mass reaction to the beliefs of Dan Cathy. Many liberals do recognize that freedom of speech means that Cathy and the FRC has as much right to speak their minds, no matter how erroneous, just as we do.

But the issue may not be just that Cathy was against gay marriage, but because the FRC and other similar organizations have said ignorant and intolerant things against gays and other outcasts of society.
